Tanya Barontseff is a Physiotherapy Resident and was a cheerleader at PCT Cheer and Tumble for 9 years and at Western University for 4 years. She competed at the ICU worlds in 2018 and the USASF worlds in 2019 with PCT Odyssey! Tanya is eager to be back in the sport in this new and exciting role.

Tanya is a recent graduate from the Master of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University and also completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario.

Tanya has always loved fitness and living an active lifestyle. Tanya is looking forward to combining her passion for fitness and cheerleading by working with the CheerMed community! Her therapy approaches include manual therapy, soft tissue releases, strengthening and client empowerment.

Shenese is a oxford college graduate with a heartfelt commitment to enhancing well-being, she began her healthcare journey in the dental field as a dental assistant before embracing on a holistic approach to pain management and mobility.

Drawing on 4 years of massage therapy experience and certification in cupping and trigger point therapy, Shenese supports athletes in alleviating pain, promoting safe mobility and flexibility.

Hello! I’m Taylor, a passionate Athletic Therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and an additional Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of sports teams, including football, rugby, hockey, and cheerleading. You might recognize me from my role on the medical team at Cheer Evolution competitions!

As an advocate for holistic athletic performance, I believe that true excellence goes beyond physical strength. It encompasses mental well-being, thoughtful preparation, and intentional recovery. Allie is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and a Registered Massage Therapist.

Throughout high school she participated in dance, field hockey, track and field and cheerleading. Allie has 6 years of cheerleading experience cheering for Cheer Sport Sharks - even travelling to Italy and the UK to compete! Allie has developed a love for cheerleading over her years competing and now enjoys coaching tumbling and tiny non-compete teams.

Dr. Amy graduated from Sheridan College in 2016 with an Honours in Bachelor of Health Sciences, Kinesiology and Health Promotion, as well as her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2020. She competed at a national and international level in cheerleading, swimming, and horseback riding throughout her childhood, high school, and university. Dr. Amy was a member at PCT from 2004-2016 and some of her greatest accomplishments were competing for PCT and Team Canada at worlds!

Dr. Amy is a certified Complete Concussion Management provider. She treats a wide variety of conditions with special interests in sports therapy, pregnancy care and family chiropractic.
