Hello! I’m Taylor, a passionate Athletic Therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and an additional Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of sports teams, including football, rugby, hockey, and cheerleading. You might recognize me from my role on the medical team at Cheer Evolution competitions!
As an advocate for holistic athletic performance, I believe that true excellence goes beyond physical strength. It encompasses mental well-being, thoughtful preparation, and intentional recovery. My treatment approach is comprehensive, combining hands-on techniques with customized stretching and strengthening programs. My mission is to help you reach your fullest potential, both on and off the mat.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me enjoying a walk with my dog, diving into a good book, or training with my team, Rebellion at PCT, as we embark on the journey to Worlds 2025!
Simone graduated from McGill University in 2016 with a Master of Science, Applied, in Physical Therapy after graduating from McMaster University in 2014 with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She furthered her education by completing a Diploma in Massage Therapy at the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in 2018.
She believes that an injury has both physical and psychological aspects, and it is important to address both components in the rehab process. This may include techniques to minimize stress or rethinking how you interpret your injury.
Her love for living an active lifestyle, including running, swimming and dancing, led to her interest in a career in physiotherapy. Simone is looking forward to learning more about the sport of cheerleading and working with everyone in the CheerMed community!
